Busy Week in Class 1/2/3

Our first week back after the holidays has been busy.  We took part in lots of different activities including making, doing and building.

 

 

Visit to Happy Valley

This week we went to explore Happy Valley.  It was very wet and there were lots of leaves on the ground so we had to walk very carefully.  We all enjoyed being at this special place.

 

Visiting Kirkwall Library

We went on a visit to  Kirkwall Library to find some books to take back to school. 

 It was great to see everyone finding a book they enjoyed.

 

Using our sense of taste

 We have been learning about our senses and how they help us.  Last week we tried different foods and  thought about which part of our tongue tells us what it tastes like.  There was salty crisps, a sour lemon, bitter dark chocolate and sweet milk chocolate buttons.
